Did You Miss Me?

It has been a long time since I posted anything.  Thanks to everyone that helped me move.  It only took about a day to unpack Rob’s fortress of boxes but I’m starting to find everything finally.  I battled trying to get internet quick enough to not miss a race… didn’t quite work out that way.  Apparently my computer didn’t like the move either because it is acting a little flakey.  I need Intel to get on the ball and restock everyone with e8400 so I can get my new computer built.  So I’m done with moving stuff.  All that’s left is cleaning the house and unpacking and organizing the apartment.  A task that seems to be taking forever.  I can’t wait to go grocery shopping and actually cook again.  This going out to eat all the time thing sucks.  A lot has happened since my last post and as much as I’d like to reflect, I’m pretty exhausted and past the point of reflecting.  I would like to thank my bank though for charging me $30 for nothing.  I was going through mail I’ve gotten in the last two weeks and found a nice letter.  Apparently there’s something called Federal Regulation “D” that does not allow more than six pre-authorized withdrawals per account cycle on my savings account.  I’ve had this savings account for 20 years and have never had this problem.  Granted, I’m shoving money into savings and constantly pulling it only as needed to try to make up the $2600 I spent in the last 2 weeks.  I find it interesting there’s a federal regulation that doesn’t allow me to do what I want with my money.  I’ll be calling the bank this week I guess and if they don’t want to give me my $30 back I’ll just close my 3 accounts and bank elsewhere.  And since I’m in the mood to complain about money, I want to take this time to tell Uhaul I know your business secret to success.  I rented a small truck for $20 and was okay paining $20 for mileage ($0.69 a mile).  What I’m REALLY not okay with is their 7/8 of a tank fuel policy.  Fill the freaking truck up and tell me to bring it back that way.  I spent $45 filing up the rental.  Keep in mind I put on about 25 miles and I’m guessing I spent about $20 in gas but because of their stupid policy I have to fill the thing because I can’t sit in the truck to watch the gauge while I fuel it (I’m pretty sure that is not legal).  I sent them a nice email telling them my opinion of their 7/8 tank policy but apparently they didn’t care to respond.  I guess if they still 1/8 of a tank of fuel from every customer they’ll alway be able to stay in business.  Alright, time to move boxes again!

Actually…the Nebraska General Manager called tonight to tell me he talked to the store manager and was calling me since he hasn’t and wants to send some VIP Certificates… whatever that is. Probably for another 7/8 of a tank full Uhaul.
