One Week Down…
So my first week is done. It truly is amazing to see the difference in how companies operate. Before I worked for what can only be called a technology company that was afraid to embrace technology. Now I work for a bank that spends more on technology in a year than my previous company probably made in profits a year. Okay, I hope I’m exaggerating but I’m not sure that I am. Things are very different. I’ve never been very good with change so it’s taking a while to feel comfortable but I suppose in time everything will work out just fine.
The change in the weather is awesome. I headed out twice fishing this weekend. Although this morning was sort one of those trips where I should have figured out I should have stayed home. I got up at 6:00 AM (for starters, getting up at 6:00 AM is crazy for me on a weekend). For the fishing I like to do the best times are sun up and sun set. When it was only 40 degrees out, I should have crawled back in bed. There’s a new bait shop in Hickman and we got a flyer handed too us last time I was out. Open 6:00 AM – 1:00 AM. The only place I ever stop for bait is in town on 48th by Sonic cause I hate to make the trip out and not have any bait. I tried this bait shop out in Hickman once and it was good so I figured I’d just get bait there. So I get there about 7:00 and the sign says CLOSED. What… Yeah, so I drive back to Lincoln and think I should just go home buy decide to check the local bait shop and it was open. It was sunny out so I figured I’d make the drive back out. Okay… I was so bored driving I figured out that each trip out there costs me about $10 in gas so I spent $20 driving around. Once I got out there I had a hit right away but I missed it cause I was working on another pole. Shortly after getting all set up I got another hit… that would be the only fish I caught all day. I tried 3 different spots and fought the wind all day. It’s odd to me but I swear the wind is capable of blowing in every direction in a 3 hour time span and it always changes after I move. So I headed home for the day, rejected.
The day wasn’t a total bust though… I got a lot of stuff done at home, so that’s a good thing. The one thing I didn’t get done is my STI exit review though. I’m sure I’ll get to it eventually.

Sorry about the fishing… it is easier with dynamite I can tell you that. As for your exit interview, I think I still have mine laying around if you need one to turn in… just a thought.
