Curb Stomped

Have you ever been in the situation where you knocked someone to the ground and then decided the best thing to do was stomp on them until they were done?  It requires less work than swinging at them.  I have to say, I now know what it feels like to be the person on the ground but the person doing the stomping wasn’t a person at all.  Every time I think I’m about ready to start “making” money again something happens.  Every time I think I’m about to actually get to move on and start my “new” life something happens.  Every time I think everything is going well and people “care” something happens.  Yeah, I know I could probably come up with something way better to talk about but really, I can’t.  My next paycheck was the first one I thought I’d get to tuck away some cash and start rebuilding the savings account.  Once I find a house, I don’t think that will happen much until I find a roommate.  So whatever I can tuck away now will be good.  I really just want to find a house, buy a new TV and living room furniture and all will be good.  Nope… not going to happen with the next paycheck cause I guess I still owe someone more money.  50/50 when you start out 20/80 sucks.  This news irritated me enough that I thought I’d use the extra energy to clear out the garage to get the truck in it tonight since it is supposed to get nasty.  Awesome news, I got the truck in the garage.  Not so awesome news, my new wheels/tires for the bike are kicking my ass.  It took me 90 minutes to change the back one and I can’t even get the front wheel off at all.  I was 50% done with that little project until tonight when I found out the back tire, that was filled up at one point, is completely flat.  A self sealing tube put under a tire that had perfectly fine tube under it went flat, sitting in the garage.  Nothing like feeling completely incapable.  The house hunting has gone well too.  The first week I saw a few things I didn’t mind.  I decided it was time to up the standards and went out to look at 3 homes.  One home, I thought I could get in my price range, it went off the market the next day.  They decided they were just going to rent after their 120 days on the market.  So there was a nice house that night I looked at and went back the week later.  In under 12 hours I decided I could afford the higher payment.  It was the same price as the first one, just assessed a lot higher.  Yea, 12 hours was too long as it went under contract, so it is off the market.  That left me with little I liked except for one I hadn’t seen yet.  That’s cause when I went to look at it they were under negotiations.  Big surprise.  Those fell through though so I had a little hope anyway, since my last two maybes disappeared.  Granted, I figured the negotiations fell through cause of the offer so I didn’t have much hope anyway.  So the day of my 2nd attempt at an appointment, I get a call letting me know they are pulling that house off the market.  Hehe… another big surprise.  Well, this week, the first house I saw is back on the market.  Really I think they just wanted to change their agent which I can understand.  The sad thing is, now I’m really hesitant because of the nicer house that was listed for the same price that went under contract.  This has been about the most annoying process.  I usually jump in head first and spend money to get what I want.  You don’t realize how hard it is for me not to go buy a new 46″ LCD but I have a plan.  The one thing I have been trying to do is be patient and not jump in head first.  Buying a houses is a big deal and when you want to get the HELL out of your apartment, like I do, it’s hard to be patient and let things fall in place.  The other day I was out driving in some beautiful weather (before all the rain) and thought I should get some meat and invite everyone over to grill… um, on my grill that’s packed away.  Well, we could all sit out on have some beers and throw some darts… on… my tiny deck or in my garage that is half a block away?  Not to mention… darts… packed.  I have 3 bikes in my living room right now cause I have no other place for them…and they all have flat tires!  At least my fridge is always full!  Now, I’m going to go sharpen my knives.
