This is why…
This is why you don’t get your hopes up… that’s one thing I’ve learned in the last two years. Negotiations are done and I’ll still be in the apartment. Sometimes people just have a different point of view what something is worth that they have owned and taken care of. Expecting to get a bunch of money out of a house that was just kept in decent order but not really cared for just isn’t going to happen. Maybe being a prior home owner is part of my problem but when you can see all the touch spots on the wall from paint and the carpet is stained and needs replaced soon and the entire outside needs reworked and painted, you’re not going to get top dollar per square foot. The funny part is when an agent tries to modify the truth. Average days on the market in the area is about 50 and this house is only at 10… but they failed to mention it was previously listed for 120 days with a different agent. Maybe there is a reason your home is not selling. And now my agent is going on vacation for a month I guess so I’m pretty much starting over again. I’m seriously thinking of finding a town house to rent at this point. Although, then you get stuck with an apartment with a lease that may not be flexible on your move out date at all, like my current apartment. Have I mentioned I think this is a painful process?
On to better news… I forgot to mention the exciting news of River Riot this summer at Westfair. Saturday, August 2nd, with 3 Doors Down headlining and Seether, Filter, Staind and Sick Puppies supporting. The concert scene hasn’t been that great lately but festivals are a blast and you get a lot more for your money so at least there will be 2 or 3 festivals to attend this summer. I am kind of disappointed Slipknot changed their masks though. I think the new masks kind of suck. They’re all the same and it kind of takes away from the personalities the masks had before. The new Disturbed CD is out tomorrow and I can’t wait to get my hands on it. I’ve mentioned to quite a few people to watch the video for Inside the Fire because, well, it is indescribable? In general, the song is very sad if you listen to the lyrics (which is sometimes hard if it is a song you just like the sound of). The video goes right along with the song and and the name of the band. In all honesty, it is more impressively done than some of the horror movies coming out. There are a few versions of the video, this is the one you want if you want to see what I’m talking about.
And finally… apparently I’m on call this week. I found out at about 4:45 today. I only had one call tonight though so that’s not bad. I don’t think I’m on call for the weekend yet though and I’m pretty much done by 7:30 so the only thing it should really effect is fishing. Although I’m kind of thinking Friday night may be a fun night to head out to the lake and start a fire and just hang out if anyone is interested. Obviously, I’ll be fishing but not much happens at night.

I’m not even sure what this says…
It’s a song, not necessarily a good song but a song none the less and it was the first thing that came to mind when I saw your title…
Hmmm… in all my lyrical online singing I missed the whole part about starting fires and sitting in the dark surrounded by the smell of fish… I’m game next time just let me know.
