Hi, My Name Is…

My typical approach when I’m frustrated and irritated, I make comments that are vague, yet to the point. Everyone gets the point, but they may never completely understand the entire story. My growing frustrations with many things could prompt a long post about all sorts of things. Really, that would just be ranting and boring for others to read and then people would send me emails asking me if the post was about them… so instead, today I would like to reintroduce myself to you. I realize people are difficult to understand. I realize I’ve always been pretty good at reading people and maybe I over estimate other people’s abilities. So today, I would like you to meet me.

I’ve lived in Nebraska all my life, yet I’m a thrill seeker at heart. I enjoy doing exciting and new things. I like to discover, explore and revisit. I enjoy hanging out with groups of people and I love sharing experiences and life with those people. I feel life is about making memories with family and friends, not becoming a memory to your family and friends. Sometimes I say too much and sometimes not nearly enough. When I say too much, keep in mind I’m just joking because if you can’t laugh with others about yourself, your life, or your situations then you’re not living nearly enough because we all make mistakes. When I don’t say enough it is because I feel nothing positive is going to come from my opinion for one reason or another. If you think you’re too busy, you’re not the only one, other’s just point it out a lot less than you do. If being busy takes away from your life, you’re going to learn that you missed out on a lot when you have time to sit back and remember the best times of your life. I believe that having a small group of close friends is far more full filling than a directory full of aquitances. When I want something, I go after. When I don’t succeed I learn from my mistakes and try again. I’m not that patient even when I try, but I try so that should count for something. I’ve experienced a lot and I’m well rounded in most aspects of life but not an expert in any of them. When something doesn’t seem possible, I make it possible. I don’t like making plans, especially for other people. Although, I have to have an outlined plan because I don’t rely on seeing what will happen because nothing good happens when you don’t put in an effort of sorts. I don’t hold out for better plans and I don’t fall through on my plans. I will go to every effort to keep my word because it is a matter or respect. I rather be in the sun than in the dark and I rather be outside than inside. I don’t mean too, but I pretty much live by a 3 strikes and your out rule and I’m not sure I know how to let people back after they decided to leave. I like to bike, fish, and play with my expensive toys. I drink Coors Light and don’t feel the need to tell you what I think of your beer. I’m a creative person and I always have been, and I always will be. I love to cook, mostly for people, but if it can’t be cooked over an open flame then I don’t need to know how to cook it. Everyone has there own likes, dislikes and feelings and I’m just like everyone else so you should respect that. When I succeed I’m happy and when I fail I’m sad. I’m overly independent and there’s nothing I think I am not capable of doing on my own. I think if you think your life is boring you should change it; it is your life and it will only be as good as you want it to be. You can make the best of things or the worst, that is entirely up to you. I’ve learned, on more than one occasion, life is short, and should not be taken for granted. I feel you should do the things that make you happy and you should never have to be someone you’re not. I think you should live like tomorrow may never come but never fear today is your last day. I believe pain is temporary and glory is forever. Hi, my name is Corey… Nice to meet you.

If this was a personal ad, I would have mentioned spaghetti straps, short skirts and strappy shoes.
