Need an Entertainment Center?
About every four years, the same thing happens; I spend a large majority of the year irritated because of the news. It just so happens to be one of those years. Most people learn I don’t talk about politics, just like religion. Most people think it is because I don’t care or am not intelligent enough to know what is going on. Really, that is not the case. Most people don’t like when people push their religious opinions on people, politics is no different. I’m actually amazed how many people spend such much time caring. Granted, this is probably a good thing but posting comments, having discussions, and sending emails in an attempt to convince me your opinion is the right opinion really is annoying. I guess I feel I have better things to do with my time, like work to keep up with the constantly rising cost of surviving. I’ll go out and vote when I actually feel like there is someone worth voting for and that has yet to happen in my 12 years of being allowed to vote. I want a candidate the spends more time telling me what they are going to focus on and how they plan to accomplish it, including the downfalls to their actions. I want a candidate that will tell me what they plan to not focus on and why they feel such topics need not be addressed. I want a candidate that doesn’t feel part of the campaign process is to discuss all the reasons I shouldn’t vote for their opponent (really, if you can’t promote yourself then you have no reason to be talking). The bottom line is the world is violent and we can’t hug people into happiness. The price of everything is going to go up every year. Business are going to fail because they have more costs and their employees want more too. I surely have no solutions how to make this a better world, but I don’t really think one president is going to be able to solve anything either so please stop trying to convince me one of these people are actually good for my future. This may be the first time though that I actually feel sorry for the country no matter what the outcome is.
While I’m on the topic of people and their opinions, why do people think other people need to believe their opinion is correct… like everyone is a freaking expert on everything. This stems from an article about some northeast state, I don’t remember which one, and their recent article boycotting Windows Vista. As a state, they refuse to use the operating system and plan to go straight to Windows 7. Not an expert, but I’ll share my opinion and experience. I’ve been running Vista on four different machines now for about two years (two work PCs and two home PCs). I’ve run business, ultimate and enterprise in 32 and 64 bit releases. I have never felt the need to switch back to XP. My job and my hobbies require me to do far more than the average computer user. Maybe, just maybe, you should learn how to use a computer before you decide to become an expert on the topic. All software has flaws and an operating system is a piece of software. The only major downfall I’ve suffered is people not keeping up with technology on 64 bit systems and not having software that works on it… this is a flaw in the 3rd party vendor and not Microsoft. Sure, Vista requires a more powerful PC but they wanted to focus on the user experience. If you can not afford better hardware than turn off the pretty interface and file preview window, it will be a lot like your XP machine. I suppose if you want to boycott Microsoft for Vista maybe you should just become an Apple user… they do have 8% of the market now. Maybe if they spent a little less on those awesome advertisements they could bump it up to 10%.
So, MySpace is annoying. I can’t get the blog posts to show up in my profile. Facebook works fine! Anyway, if you’re own MySpace you should have a Facebook account anyway. I’m thinking I prefer Facebook over MySpace anyway. So, this is to anyone that uses MySpace and not Facebook… go… now… register. You’ll find a lot of familiar faces there.
Last note: If you know anyone looking for an entertainment center, let me know because I’m selling one. It’s in good shape and only $100. The only reason I’m selling it, I let my TV go last spring and my new TV will not fit in there. I have pictures posted, if you want to see them you can email me and I’ll send you the link. I posted it on Craigslist but I’m guessing everyone is going to low ball that shows interest. Only $100 and you’ll be doing me a big favor cause I have to get two vehicles in my garage next week while I’m in South Carolina.
