Saw Meets Thumb = Not Good
The way karma is supposed to work… say nice things and nice things will happen to you. Apparently that is not the case for me. My last post was a day late since upgrading WordPress broke the plugin I used for post via email. I had to go back and fix the formating and then find a new plugin which is kind of working for now. It works the same way as the last one I guess, but I thought I’d get to plug in my categories in the subject line and that apparently doesn’t work. I’ll get to that later I guess. The post to Facebook feature worked well but the post to MySpace feature not so good. MySpace really has a lot of errors that show up for its core functions. At least Facebook tends to only throw errors with plugins. I think the blog is posted in MySpace but I don’t know cause it says I have 5 blog posts, it only shows up once, but doesn’t show in my profile only on the blog page. So your guess is as good as mine.
I’ve noticed something interesting lately. My window looks out to 48th and Calvert and I’m out driving during the day some times, so I notice people driving more frequently. A lot of people don’t pay attention to emergency vehicles. The other day, I was coming down Pioneers at 3:30 and an ambulance was coming from the opposite way. I pulled over and stopped but the lady, 2 blocks behind me, never pulled over or stopped. Does she not realize that the sirens are usually a sign of emergency. These people are trying to save lives and she can’t even stop for 15 seconds. Well, she never passed me so when I got to the next light I looked at her in the rear view mirror. Cell phone in one hand, up to her cocked head, and the other hand was working pretty hard picking her nose and the other hand on the wheel… at least one hand was on the wheel. I wanted to get out, walk back to her truck, smack her in the head and take her phone away. Prime example of a stupid human.
Last weekend was a pretty productive weekend. The TV is up in the garage, thanks to a little help running the electrical up the wall. The project really was build a shelf, run another electrical outlet and run another cable connection. The shelf was the most work and I was reminded that sawing through your thumb is not only painful, but bloody. If a “cutter” thinks what they are doing is enduring pain, try leaving a jagger rip through your skin instead of using an exacto knife. With the TV up, working in the garage was pretty easy Sunday and it actually looks pretty good now. Still some stuff to take care of but way closer to organized. I have a truck full of stuff for donation, I just need to figure out when I can take it in since I’m on call this week. I also have a stack of old computer stuff and audio/video/computer/car wiring to donate to some one on freecycle. I also unburied the entertainment center so i can take a picture and post it on craigslist. I just can’t wait to be “done” with the unpacking and organizing so I can start to enjoy the new house without knowing there is always something I should be doing instead of trying to watch TV or work on my computer.
