Is It Spring Yet?
That whole “I can’t wait till winter thing” was pretty dumb. It isn’t even winter and I can’t wait for spring. It was a great concept that wasn’t well thought out. I’ve noticed my ability to actually post anything lately, is lacking. Nothing really ever seems worth writing about or by time I actually get around to writing something it happened over a week ago. I need to sort of get past that issue and this may be more productive. There is always the other issue of this being a public blog and in reality, that limits the content that can be added. I suppose if you have no reason to care about how you are represented, you can post anything you want but the reality is, it is way to easy to have something come back and haunt you, so you have to be careful!
The Metallica concert was pretty awesome. I’m not a huge Metallica fan by any means. My favorite CD is the S&M CD. I do like their new CD though. Not being a huge fan and knowing pretty much all of the songs though, that was pretty cool. Well worth the ticket price even if the opening bands were nothing I was excited about. Now, if Lamb of God would have already been part of the tour, that would have been really awesome. I even ran into someone from the past. Interestingly enough, she informed me of some news that made me feel better about myself. I always wondered why I predicted the who would split up and stay together thing wrong with the old neighborhood… at least she verified that my assumption was correct, just at the timing was wrong. Even more interesting, someone else from the past apparently keeps up-to-date with what is going on in my life and feels the need to discuss it so it gets passed along to other people. It was kind of amusing that someone that I don’t talk to knew all about Mayhem Fest because she heard if from someone else who I assume read it and saw pictures. I have to say, I think it is time to cut the cord, seriously! Nine Inch Nails is coming up in less than a week… that’s pretty exciting except for the exclusion of Mr. Self Destruct in their set list!
I finally got a new cell phone. The battery life of my old phone was about 10 minutes. I upgraded my phone and plan and so I could stop carrying two cell phones. It was kind of disappointing to have to get a Windows Mobile over a Blackberry but I’m loving the new phone. I got a Motorola Q9c, which is about 100% better than my regular Motorola Q was. GPS enabled, multiple email accounts on my phone, mobile facebook, better camera phone and syncing my home and work contacts into one source and updating both at once is pretty convient. My new Plantronics Voyager 520 Bluetooth is about the best investment I’ve made in a long time. Now I just have to find a 3/32 stereo to 1/8 stereo adapter so I can hook up normal headphones to use with the media player and I’ll be set. Having Windows on a cell phone isn’t the best thing I can think of because I’ve already reformated my phone once, but hopefully I won’t regret having this phone in 3 months.
I think I have discovered a genetic flaw in my family’s genes. We must have never evolved to the same level as the rest of the world because I seriously have never been able to find a set of “ear bud” type headphones that actually work in my ears. If there is a draft in the room, they fall out. People are always whering the ipod ones… I was glad mine broke rather quickly because they were some of the worse ones to keep in. I’m not really sure what to do because at work I only use one side because I have a phone headset on the other ear a lot of times and need to be able to actually hear. I suppose duct tape may fix that problem but it would look kind of silly.

Don’t worry man, I have the same problem with earphones staying in my ears. No, it isn’t a genetic flaw, but most likely dangerously high nitrate levels in GI drinking water we were exposed to in younger years. Good to see you over Christmas. How do we live only 2 miles away from each other and manage to never cross each other’s path? Drop me an email or give me a call, would love to catch up with you.
Better update your blog, info is getting kinda stale:)
